Processing & Engineering
Our Processing & Engineering facility is backed by Lloyd’s capacity and targets UK property risks for industries working a raw material into a product. In addition to processing and engineering firms, this may also include manufacturers or fabricators. We have a broad and varied appetite, with each risk considered on its own merit. However, we especially like to work with businesses with a positive attitude to improving working processes and their overall risk profile. Our expertise in this field extends to assisting clients with risk management guidance, allowing us to consider risks other underwriters may not entertain.
Our portfolio managers have a wealth of experience in their niche line of business and combine this with a dedication to helping our broker partners win and retain more business.
Richard Brown is the portfolio manager for UK commercial combined business at Rokstone.
Having initially started his insurance career as a broker, he’s sat on both sides of the table covering all classes of UK business. This first-hand experience is the reason he understands the demands and needs of his brokers, putting service at the forefront of the facility.
If he wasn’t working for Rokstone, Richard would most likely be on the side-lines of a rugby pitch coaching and shouting words of encouragement.
“I joined the Rokstone family as I could see they shared the same ethos, work ethic and values that I did. I couldn’t wait to join and be part of something special.”

Our wider teams are made up of leading underwriters and dedicated suppport staff to ensure that your experience working with us is forever a positive one.
Scott Fautley is a property underwriter at Rokstone. Scott is responsible for underwriting and maintaining the profitability of the waste property account, whether that be underwriting new business, renewals or ongoing risks.
He joined the group in February 2016, having started life in claims for RSA and QBE. He then moved into underwriting support roles at QBE and Allianz, and finally into Lloyd’s broking.
Outside of work, Scott has been a fairly serious photographer for around a decade. He plays the drums and is also a keen runner.
“The opportunity to be part of something growing at the rate it was when I joined was too good an opportunity to miss – little did I know at that time just how much the group would explode.”
Stuart Kinsella is a property underwriter for Rokstone. Stuart is responsible for developing and managing the waste property facility business and expanding its global footprint into new territories.
Stuart joined the group in March 2014, as his first role within the London market. He previously worked as an insurance broker at Lloyds TSB and Bluefin.
If he wasn’t working for Rokstone, he would probably be trying to play golf on as many courses across the globe as possible. He also claims to possess the unique skill of being able to enter lookalike competitions under the names of Mick Hucknall, Ed Sheeran, Boris Johnson and Ricky Hatton.
“I can honestly say joining the group was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Whilst I never doubted that the company would flourish, the exponential growth experienced has exceeded what I thought was possible. It’s a tremendously exciting time to be part of this innovative and ambitious group.”
Amy is an underwriting assistant in the Rokstone DIU team.
Amy has over 10 years’ experience in the London insurance market, working in small to medium-sized brokers including RFIB and Aon. She has assisted with the production and placement of a variety of business lines including political risk, trade credit and terrorism.
Outside of work she has a keen interest in martial arts and regularly trains at a Wing Chun school in her spare time.
“I enjoy working at Rokstone as it’s a company that provides great opportunities for their staff to grow.”
